Wicked Good Vintage Racing Series Joins the Late Models, Street Stocks, Slingshots, Six Shooters, and Pure Stocks at Star This Saturday
(June 21, 2023) — Star Speedway in is back in action this Saturday night, June 24, and the Wicked Good Vintage Racing Series makes their first stop in town this season with an A and B feature on the schedule. Joining the Wicked Good Tour will be the Izzett Construction Late Models, who will be on track at Star for the third time in 2023. The K Cob Slingshots will also be back on the schedule for the second consecutive week as they were part of the June 16th $5 Friday program. The Woody’s Auto Street Stocks are set for double features, while the 2 To Go Show Six Shooters presented by Top Gun Roofing , and MLM Diagnostic Services Pure Stocks are all also in action.
The Late Models will be in action for the third time this season, last time out it was Jimmy Renfrew Jr. who captured checkers. The Woody’s Street Stocks are also back on track this week. George Baldwin took home a popular win in the division’s last outing. This time, they go for double feature races in what is sure to be an exciting night for this division.
Rookie Nate LeClair will look to make it three wins in a row in the Slingshots on Saturday. The always popular Six Shooters will also be on hand with Ryan Partridge and Ryan McCarthy splitting the twin features last time out. The Pure Stocks will be on the docket as well, as defending champion George Riley Jr. scored his first win of the season last time out.
Saturday racing will begin at 6 p.m. with the make up feature for the Woody’s Auto Street Stocks to kick off the night’s program, with heat races to follow. General admission tickets for the night are $15 for adults with seniors/juniors/military just $12 and kids 11 and under and parking free.
