BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – There will be plenty of racing action at Grandview Speedway again this weekend, with two days of planned racing activities.

Grandview Speedway will be presenting another NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program on Saturday featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be in the spotlight this week participating in the 53rd annual Firecracker 40 championship race, the biggest race program of the summer for the division paying $2000 to the winner.

The show on Saturday, July 8 will include qualifying events for both classes leading into the 40-lap championship feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman and the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature.

Adult grandstand admission is $25, students 10-15 with ID are $12, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm. with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm. and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

The weekend action actually begins on Friday, July 7 as another Outlaw Racing Series Enduro/Vintage double program will be presented along with the addition of the Slingshots. On Friday, grandstand admission for adults is $10, children ages 12 and under are free, while pit admission is $30. Pit gates open at 2 pm. while grandstand gates open at 5:30 pm. and racing starts at 7 pm.

There will be a pre-race Meet and Greet with the guys from Low Down and Dirty on Saturday. The featured drivers will be the father and son duo of Kevin Graver Jr. and his son Ryan Graver along with Sportsman drivers Kenny Bock and Brad Grim on hand with their cars in the main gate area starting at 5 pm. This is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers.

Defending track champion Craig Von Dohren was able to break into victory lane for his first win of the season last Saturday night, scoring his 124th career Saturday night NASCAR Modified win, and in doing so was able to secure the point lead for the first time this year.

Brett Kressley, who was the point leader entering the night, fell to position two in points. On Saturday while running second early in the feature, he suffered a flat tire and had to pit and start out at the back of the field and returned for an eleventh-place finish.

Jeff Strunk had another solid outing with a second-place finish to maintain third in points, with Tim Buckwalter holding down fourth in points after charging from his 21st starting place to an eighth-place effort, while Ryan Watt scored a solid third-place feature run to take over fifth in points after Saturday’s action.

Young Logan Watt remains on top of the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman standings following another strong run on Saturday night, which found him scoring a fast closing second to feature winner Mike Schneck Jr. who picked up his first career feature win.

Brian HIrthler, Kyle Smith, and Cody Manmiller remain second, third, and fourth in points despite just missing out on top ten finishes in Saturday’s feature which saw only one caution, which came on lap one, making for a nearly non-stop race.

Brett Gilmore put on a passing clinic in the second half of the race last Saturday, charging forward from 21st starting spot to finish in fourth position, which has now moved him into fifth in the point’s race.

Saturday, July 15 will be another two-division program featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series Sprint Cars starting at 7:30 pm. The evening’s activities will also include the rescheduled Kid’s Money Scramble from July 1.

The 90’s night promotion featuring 1990s pricing and $10 grandstand admission has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 22. A huge first-time-ever event is coming to Grandview Speedway on Tuesday, July 25, with a rain date of July 26.

It will be the High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series, which was created by and is run by NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson, and World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet. Only twelve facilities across the country are hosting this first-year series, and Grandview Speedway is proud to be one of those tracks honored to host the series.

Advance tickets for this event are available on TicketHoss, or at the track on race day. Adult general admission tickets (no reserved seating) will be $40, children 6-11 are $20, while ages 5 and under are admitted free. The pit fee will be $45, and sold only on race day at the pit gate.
