Another Friday and Saturday Night Doubleheader of Racing at Star Speedway This Weekend
(August 9, 2023) — Star Speedway will be back in action this weekend with racing on both Friday, August 11th, and Saturday August 12th, with a total of fifteen feature events scheduled over the course of two days.
Friday night’s program is highlighted by double features for the K-COB Slingshots, with a total of nine feature events to be run on the night. Saturday’s racing schedule will feature double main events for both the Izzett Construction Late Models and Woody’s Auto Street Stocks, on an evening with six feature races on the schedule.
Joining the K-COB Slingshots on Friday will be the Super Troopers, NELCAR Legends, and Bandoleros, the Mighty Trucks, Morse Trucking Cruisers, Junkyard Dogs, and the Pro V8’s will also be on hand. The Friday night schedule will see racing kick off at 7PM with grandstands opening up at 5:30PM. The pit area opens at 4:30PM for pit pay members and track members and 4:45PM for all others. General admission pricing will be $5 for all over the age of 11. Practice for Friday racing will begin at 5:45PM followed by the first green flag at 7PM. Pit passes are just $25 per person.
Along with the Izzett Construction Late Models and Woody’s Street Stocks on Saturday will be the 2 To Go Show Six Shooters and MLM Diagnostic Services Pure Stocks. Saturday’s racing will begin at 6PM. Saturday also includes the Back To School night special, with a meet and greet for fans on the track at 3:45PM. The track will also give out 100 backpacks filled with school supplies during intermission. Pit gates will open up at 2:45PM for Star members and Pit Pay holders and 3PM for all others. Practice begins at 4:45PM and racing begins at 7PM. Tickets in general admission are just $15 for adults, $12 for seniors/juniors/military & kids 11 and under free. Pit passes will be $35 for non-members and $30 for members.
