Thunder Road’s Nolato Night Moved to Friday, August 11th with Threat of Rain
Barre, VT — It wouldn’t be a Thursday in Central Vermont, in the summer of 2023, without the threat of rain and today is certainly no different. With rain forecasted to come into the greater Barre area right at Thursday’s Thunder Road post time of 7:00pm and staying through to Midnight tonight, officials opted to play it safe and move the Nolato Night program to tomorrow, Friday, August 11th.
The original schedule will be transferred to Friday’s new date with Pit Gates opening at 3:00pm, Grandstands opening at 5:00pm and racing set to begin at 7:00pm.
Now set for Friday, August 11th, the Nolato Night program featuring the 5th annual Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warrior Challenge will also continue the championship season for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and rk Miles Street Stocks. The Street Stocks will also continue into the next round of their new Triple Crown before crowning the three-race mini-series champion on Super Saturday! Adult general admission is set for $15 with children 12-6 for $5 and kids 5 and under free! The Family Four Pack, two adults, and two kids, is also available for $30.
Following Friday’s sprint, Thunder Road teams have a quick 12-hour turnaround before Super Saturday on August 12th presented by McGee Hyundai of Barre. Along with extra money on the line for all four Thunder Road divisions, the rk Miles Street Stocks wrap up their all-new three-in-a-row Triple Crown for even more cash bonuses for the top three in series standings!
