WEST HAVEN, V.T.— Devil’s Bowl Speedway Management has announced an amendment to the 2023 racing schedule’s final month. The Championship finale will now be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 5:00 p.m. and will be presented by Stove Depot.
A longtime supporter of racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, the folks at Stove Depot had their annual night washed out by rain back on August 26th. That event was slated to be a 40-lap, draw format race for the Sunoco Modifieds in which the winner would earn a guaranteed starting spot in the Vermont 200, making it one of the biggest races of the 2023 season. Now, Stove Depot night means that much more on September 23rd, as Champions will be crowned in all divisions.
Modified heavyweights Justin Comes, Tim LaDuc, and Kevin Chaffee will battle for the 2023 Track Championship while established, season-long leaders Randy Ryan (Limited) and Tyler Travis (Novice) will hope to complete their dominant campaigns. In the Mini Sprints, Logan Denis will seek to sew up his second consecutive title. Full-fendered division leaders Mark Mahoney (Mini Stock) and Rob Steele (Crown Vic) will look to hang on to narrow leads. It’s sure to be another wild Championship night at “The Bowl!” Plus it will be the final “Wild & Crazy Enduro Series” race of 2023!!
In the event of a rainout, Stove Depot Championship night will commence at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24th.
General Admission will be $15 and Infield Drive-In parking will be available for $20, weather permitting. Kids 12 and under are FREE. Pit pass fees are $28 for members and $38 for non-members.
