Jim Leturgey Passes Away
James D. Leturgey passed away November 19, 2023, in Erie County Medical Center.
Born September 18, 1941, in Portage, PA he was the son of John and Minerva (Taylor) Leturgey, Sr. James served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1962 aboard the USS Sullivan. He worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years retiring in 1995 as a supervisor in the tool and die room. James enjoyed golfing getting two hole-in-ones and was a member of both Oak Run and Willowbrook golf courses. He was a member of the Royalton Airport Association, built his own plane and stock cars, and drove them at Lancaster Speedway.
James is survived by his wife of 61 years Viola Jeanne (Moore) Leturgey; children Cynthia Leturgey, Timothy (Tanya) Leturgey, and Jennifer (Brian) Perski; five grandchildren Julie (Joel) Calabro, Jill Leturgey, Nathan Perski, William Perski, and the late Daniel Perski; four great-grandchildren Benjamin, Madalyn, Zoey, and Brayden; siblings Sally (James) McGovern, Susan (Joseph) Afilani, and the late John Jr., Norman, Terry, Robert, and Harold; also several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a service Sunday, Nov. 26th at 4 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.
