Title Teams, Top Stars Awarded at White Mountain Banquet of Champions
N. Woodstock, NH— All the top stars of White Mountain Motorsports Park gathered at the Littleton Elks Club on Saturday to celebrate the 2023 season during the annual Banquet of Champions. The capacity crowd enjoyed the meal provided by Dan and the gang at Jockey Hollow Catering before partaking in awards and dancing the night away with DJ Michael Douglas.
Along with his accolades as the 2023 ‘King of the Mountain’ and the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series champion, Kasey Beattie also took home contingency certificates from Allstar Performance, Kirkey Racing Fabrication and a CD-1 Super Speedway Ignition System courtesy of White Mountain’s newest partner in JMS Performance Group. Fellow Foley Oil & Propane Late Model runner-up Quinny Welch earned the Bassett Racing Wheels certificate and Stacy Cahoon took the Tilton Racing award. QA-1 provided a complete set of 63 Series shocks, which were raffled off to lucky Mike Jurkowski. Raffle prizes also included an ‘A’ Body Package from AR Bodies for Michael Clark and a complete ABC NexGen Body from Five Star Race Car Bodies given to Matt Anderson.
The 2023 Most Improved Driver also went to Matt Anderson for his advancement behind the wheel in weekly competition at White Mountain this season while longtime pilot Stacy Cahoon earned the Sportsmanship Award for his great attitude and constant camaraderie with everyone in the White Mountain pit area.
2023 Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tiger and Central Asphalt Paving Triple Crown champion Brandon Gray took the lion’s-share of awards for the popular support division on Saturday, including a 54-gallon drum of Sunoco Race Fuels and Allstar Performance Certificates. Championship runner-up John Donahue earned the Bassett Racing Wheels certificate. Both AR Bodies and Five Star Race Car Bodies also added $500 certificate raffle prizes for the Flying Tigers with Frank Sweeney and Nathan Hamblett, respectively, drawing the awards.
Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini Stock champion Kristian Switser claimed the N.E.S. Enterprises award among his title prizes, joining fellow champions Cody LeBlanc and Jason Wyman with Allstar Performance awards. Top rookies Kyle Goodbout, Luke Peters and McKenna Merchant were awarded for their freshman efforts while nine season-long Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division teamsters earned their trophies and jackets.
White Mountain Motorsports Park General Manager, and longtime team-member of the American-Canadian Tour and Thunder Road Speedbowl, Meredith Cox earned the prestigious Avery Award, given annually in to honor the Avery Family that built and operated WMMP for twenty-five seasons.
