Steady Rain Cancels Thursday’s Portion of Sunshine Nationals
BARBERVILLE, FL – January 18, 2024 – With steady rain in Barberville, FL, along with unsettled weather conditions expected throughout the rest of the evening, World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model, DIRTcar, and Volusia Speedway Park officials have decided to cancel Thursday’s portion of Sunshine Nationals.
The decision comes after working closely with Meteorologist Wayne Mahar from Precision Weather Service and monitoring the local weather for the past 24 hours.
In the interest of maintaining current track conditions, this decision will allow officials to provide the best surface possible for competitors on Friday and Saturday.
If you purchased a ticket in advance through the World of Outlaws for the event, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work for you, then you have until Feb. 19 to request a refund.
If you bought a ticket at the track, you can mail it back to the World of Outlaws office at 7575 West Winds Blvd., Suite D, 28027, Concord, NC. Please have it postmarked by Feb. 19.
If you bought a three-day pit pass at the track, you can mail it back to the office at the address above, or exchange it for any night single night of Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals.
Anyone who bought a single-day pit pass can exchange it for Friday or Saturday’s event, mail it back to the address above, or exchange it for DIRTcar Nationals.
The Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet, along with the Crate Racin’ USA Late Models and 602 Late Models, will continue their high-octane show on Friday, Jan. 19 during Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.
