The Tradition Continues: Advance Tickets, Reserved Infield Parking on Sale for Fonda 200 Weekend
FONDA, NY – The tradition continues.
The Fonda 200 – first contested on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in 1955 with the late American hero Junior Johnson in Victory Lane – is set for its 2024 edition Thursday-Friday Sept. 12-14, headlined by the big-block/small-block Modifieds of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco roaring 100 miles around the Track of Champions.
Stewart Friesen of Sprakers, N.Y., is the defending ‘Fonda 200’ victor, his third in the 31st running of the prestigious event.
Advance tickets and infield reserved parking spots are on sale now for the ‘200’ through the MyRacePass app at the following link: https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/1549/tickets
Campers from the ’23 Fonda 200 will receive a renewal e-mail from the speedway. Remaining camping spots open to the public after March 1.
“We’re proud to continue the legacy of the Fonda 200 in 2024,” offered Brett Deyo, Fonda Speedway promoter and organizer of the STSS. “The 200 produces so many twists, turns and storylines every year it has become a fan-favorite event.”
Season pass holders will retain their seats for the ‘200’ so long as the season pass is purchased prior to the weekend ticket.
A complete ‘weekend of speed’ is planned for the ‘200’ kicking off Thursday (Sept. 12) with the Amsterdam Truck Center Modified ‘Ultimate Underdog 33’ for drivers not having won a Modified feature during the ’24 campaign plus Montgomery County Office for Aging Limited Sportsman and open practice for all other divisions.
Friday night (Sept. 13) brings Qualifying Races for the STSS Modifieds, Qualifiers for the Swagger Factory Apparel STSS Crate 602 Sportsman of the Madsen Overhead Doors North Region, Online Performance/Stone Motorsports Street Stocks and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.
On Saturday (Sept. 14), the STSS Modifieds take part in B-Mains and the 200-lap main event while the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman compete in a 40-lap, $2,500-to-win main event preceded by B-Mains.
A Sunday rain/weather date is reserved if needed.
