Pair of Popular Vermonters Look to Storm American-Canadian Tour Rookie Title Chase
Barre, VT — A pair of young Green Mountain State phenoms are ready to make their first full run at the American-Canadian Tour championship and the coveted Rookie of the Year title in 2024. Shelburne, Vermont’s Kaiden Fisher, and St. Johnsbury’s Kasey Beattie have both filed their full-season entries and rookie registrations for the upcoming season on the international circuit with both looking to use experience gained at two of the Tour’s most popular tracks to their advantage.
Both Beattie and Fisher have logged thousands of laps at both Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont, and White Mountain Motorsports Park in N. Woodstock, New Hampshire over the last five years. Beattie jumped on the four-cylinder Street Stock scene in 2018 with Fisher following in 2020, since then both have claimed top rookie marks as they’ve climbed the ladder system of divisions at both tracks.
2023 was a high-water mark for both youngsters as Beattie had a dominating third season in the Late Models at White Mountain to claim his first King of the Mountain track championship and Fisher was able to claim the Thunder Road Late Model Rookie of the Year and narrowly missed the overall track championship by a mere four points in his freshman season.
After his breakthrough championship season, Kasey Beattie and his White Mountain track championship team were nearly ready to hang up the helmet after successfully completing a five-year climb to the top. In stepped Jeff Oeschger, longtime racer in his own right and current car owner in both Flying Tigers and Late Models. Oeschger and Beattie came to a quick agreement and are now prepared to pursue the American-Canadian Tour rookie title.
Kaiden Fisher will continue to campaign with his family-owned, S.D. Ireland Concrete-backed team both on the American-Canadian Tour and at home weekly at Thunder Road as he attempts to join his father Jamie Fisher as a Thunder Road King of the Road and as an ACT Rookie of the Year. ‘Tropical Storm’ Fisher has claimed Rookie of the Year honors in all three Thunder Road championship divisions, with the American-Canadian Tour in his sights it’s sure to be a fight to the end.
Both Kaiden Fisher and Kasey Beattie will get their first taste of New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the 4th annual Northeast Classic on Saturday, April 13, starting the 13-event 2024 American-Canadian Tour season on the Northeast’s biggest track.
