Powerhouse Pair of White Mountain Champions Take on Mini Late Model Challenge
N. Woodstock, NH — A pair of Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini Champions are moving up to take on a new challenge in 2024. The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will contest their third track championship season at White Mountain Motorsports Park this summer with the addition of Pepperell, Massachusetts-own Chris Moulton and Woodsville, New Hampshire’s Kristian Switser moving up to take on the high-powered, four-cylinder rockets.
Both 2022 Strictly Mini champion Chris Moulton and 2023 champion Kristian Switser share an interesting similarity as they move into 2024. Following their rookie campaigns, both Moulton and Switser were able to claim their track championships in just their second season behind the wheel at New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track. Now, the two are set to move up together as a championship-winning pair running for rookie honors in the Mini Late Model class.
While similar in size and in number of cylinders, the two divisions are also starkly different. The Mini Late Models feature a different body style, higher powered four-cylinder engine, and additional modifications to suspension and camber that differ from the Strictly Stock Mini class.
Along with Switser and Moulton, a track newcomer looks to barnstorm the rookie honors as well. Hauling in from Danbury with the backing of FinnBro Construction is Brandon Picknell, moving up to the Mini Late Model division after two years of Pure Stock racing.
“It’s always exciting to see a division grow, but this is pretty special,” said WMMP managing partner Cris Michaud. “We started the division just a couple years ago to give this type of car a homebase and now to see both new faces and White Mountain regulars embrace the division is a great feeling.”
