Former New London-Waterford Speedbowl Champion was 76

Michael G. Daigneault
January 24, 1947 – February 26, 2024

Michael G. (Big Mike) Daigneault passed away February 26, 2024, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Norwich on January 24, 1947, the son of Gerard and Regina (Sevigny) Daigneault. Michael was a member of the Teamsters until his retirement in 2007.

He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a track champion at Waterford Speedbowl in 1976.

 

He is survived by his soul mate of 30 years Patricia Gray, his brother David, two nieces and their four children, and several close cousins. Michael was predeceased by his sister Jane.

At Michael’s request, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 10:30AM in Sacred Heart Cemetery on Harland Road in Norwich. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choosing in memory of Michael.
