Donald James “Don” Collins
NORTH WINDHAM — Donald [Don] James Collins, of North Windham, Connecticut lived to the age of 92. He joined his Heavenly Father on February 21, 2024. Don was born on July 7, 1931, in Scotland, Connecticut to Robert James Collins and Arthuhrena Turner Collins.
Donald Collins was best known as a Champion Race Car Driver from 1948-1970, at Waterford Speedway. And also for his Fiat Dealership in Willimantic. Don was a Hunter, Fishermen, Lover of Animals, and a Family man: (Preceded by Son – Donald James [D.J.] Collins), (Survived by – Daughter, Pamala Ann Collins Mitchell, Grandsons, Dustin & Derek Mitchell, Granddaughters, Deonna & Dominique Mitchell, and Great-Grandson: Darius James [D.J.] & Johnny Collins Mitchell, Great-Granddaughter, Aliana Elise Lopez.)
