So Far Three Weeks and Three Winners, Will There Be a Fourth Different Winner This Saturday at Grandview Speedway
NASCAR Modified and Sportsman Double Header Starts at 6 PM
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The competition has been close and fierce in the first three weeks of racing this season, and Grandview Speedway prepares for another action-packed program again this Saturday night.
The racing event planned for this Saturday, April 27 will be featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman in another program run under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series banner. Each division will run a series of qualifying races leading up to the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman main events.
This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted once again by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers who will be participating will be Modified driver Eric Biehn along with Sportsman drivers TJ Mayberry and Gavyn Krupp.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 3:30 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers.
On Saturday night pit gates open at 3 pm, grandstand gates open at 4 pm, followed by warm-ups at 5 pm, and the qualifying events start the racing action at 6 pm.
Grandstand admission for adults is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members, and $45 for non-members.
Grandview Speedway management is also announcing a slight change of plans for the starting times for racing events coming up at the beginning of May. Following the month of April which saw 6 pm start times, a switch to 6:30 pm start times will be used to start the month of May (The plan usually is to go to 7:30 start times at the beginning of May).
Management will monitor the situation as far as weather and track conditions are concerned, and make any necessary adjustments in the time schedule. An announcement will be made as to exactly which week starting times will be switching to the traditional 7:30 start for the summer months.
Since the green flag dropped on the 2024 campaign, there have been three different winners in T.P. Trailer Modified action with Mike Mahaney, Brett Kressley, and Louden Reimert all scoring a feature win.
At the same time in T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman action Logan Watt, Gavin Krupp, and Colton Perry have all been to victory lane, producing three different winners as well.
The question is will the streak continue and produce another week where we will see racing go to four weeks and four different winners to start the new season?
Current point leader and ten-time track Champion Jeff Strunk will be leading the charge of three dozen competitors into T. P. Trailer Modified action looking for that first win of the season along with six-time track Champion Duane Howard who is right behind Strunk in the point standings.
Other top contenders will be 13-time track champion Craig Von Dohren, last season’s leading feature winner Mike Gular along with Jared Umbenhauer, Ryan Watt, Eddie Strada, Tim Buckwalter, Doug Manmiller, Jimmy Leiby, Michael Storms, Ryan Grim, Kevin Hirthler, and Kyle Smith among many drivers in action.
Behind the three winners in T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman action, current point leader Adrianna Delliponti will be looking to break into victory lane, as well as Dylan Swinehart, Jesse Hirthler, Ryan Graver, Nathan Mohr, Decker Swinehart, Addison Meitzler, Mike Schneck Jr., Logan Bauman, Cody Manmiller, Parker Guldin, Nathan Horn, Zane Roth, Ronnie Solomon, and over three dozen total drivers who will be in action on Saturday night.
Anticipation is building for the first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series program of the year at Grandview Speedway, which is fast approaching in the month of May, as the Kyle Larson/Brad Sweet Kubota High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series will be in town on Tuesday, May 28 starting at 7:30 pm with a rain date of Wednesday, May 29.
The program will be featuring some of the top 410 Sprint Car drivers in the country battling it out against the top Pennsylvania Posse drivers in this high-profile racing event on the high-banked one-third-of-a-mile raceway.
Adult grandstand tickets are $40, children 6-11 are $20, while kids 5 and under are free. Pit admission is $45, and no license is required. Advanced grandstand tickets for this event are available at www.tickethoss.com
