WHAT TO WATCH FOR: DIRTcar Pro Stock Series Invades Glen Ridge

Brandon Emigh leads Series standings after Albany-Saratoga

FULTONVILLE, NY (July 11, 2024) – The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series returns to the Capital Region for race two of the 2024 season.

The Series makes its first of two visits to Glen Ridge Motorsports Park on Sunday, July 14, for a 30-lap Feature paying $1,000-to-win.

For more on the DIRTcar Northeast, follow the DIRTcar Facebook page and the Series’ X/(Twitter) page.

Here’s a look at what to watch for at Glen Ridge:

Emigh’s Way: Brandon Emigh is having a career year in the DIRTcar Pro Stocks.

The Ballston Spa, NY driver scored his first DIRTcar Pro Stock Series win at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in May and has five victories in 2024.

Emigh has a win and four top-five finishes in seven DIRTcar Pro Stock Series starts behind the wheel of his No. 2E car. However, Sunday will be his first Series start outside of Albany-Saratoga.

The Champ’s Home Turf: A trip to Glen Ridge means defending Series champion Luke Horning has a chance to defend home turf.

Horning, from Gloversville, NY, aims to bounce back after finishing 22nd in the Series opener at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.

“Cousin Luke” has five wins, 12 top fives, and 22 top 10s in 44 DIRTcar Pro Stock Series starts.

He finished second last Sunday at “The Ridge,” where he leads the track points standings.

Veteran’s Invade: A trio of Pro Stock veterans aim for a Series victory this weekend after finishing in the top 10 at Albany-Saratoga.

Four-time Series champion Pete Stefanski leads the group. The North Tonawanda, NY driver has more wins than any other driver in DIRTcar Pro Stock Series history (27) and drove from 21st to seventh in the season opener.

He finished third in last year’s event at Glen Ridge and in the top 10 in seven straight races dating back to Super DIRT Week in 2022.

Jason Casey and Kim Duell rounded out the podium at Albany-Saratoga in May and are searching for their first Series triumph.

Casey has nine top fives and 19 top 10s in 39 Series starts, while Duell has five top fives and eight top 10s in 21 Series starts.

Both have scored a victory this season at Albany-Saratoga.
