1 MONTH ALERT: Brewerton, Land of Legends, Fulton Make up August’s SummerFAST Tripleheader – YankeeRacer.com

1 MONTH ALERT: Brewerton, Land of Legends, Fulton Make up August’s SummerFAST Tripleheader

CENTRAL SQUARE, NY (July 12, 2024) – Northeast race fans will again be treated to three straight nights of Super DIRTcar Series action in August with the return of SummerFAST.

The three-day speedweek event will feature racing at Brewerton Speedway on Monday, Aug. 12, Land of Legends Raceway on Tuesday, Aug. 13, and Fulton Speedway on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

All three nights will award a $7,500 payday to the winner and points toward the SummerFAST title, which will be awarded after the Fulton Feature. Ten-time Series champion Matt Sheppard is the two-time and defending SummerFAST champion.

The finale at Fulton will be the Super DIRTcar Series’ first time back at the 3/8-mile dirt track since 2020. Jimmy Phelps is the last driver to win a Series race at the track, however, the track has hosted many of the Series’ stars each year, including at its Outlaw 200 event, which was won by Matt Sheppard last year. Phelps scored his first Series win since 2022 recently at Thunder Mountain Speedway.

A Mat(t) has won the last eight Super DIRTcar Series races at Brewerton Speedway. Of those, five belong to Sheppard. Current Series points leader and 2019 Series champion Mat Williamson won the SummerFAST event at Brewerton last year.

Williamson is also the last driver to win a Series race at Land of Legends during the Stars and Stripes 76 in June. He became the sixth straight different winner at the track with the Series, joining a group that includes Sheppard, Hall of Famer Tim Fuller, Max McLaughlin, Peter Britten, and Stewart Friesen. The 1/2-mile track has been a staple on the Super DIRTcar Series tour, first hosting the Series in 1980.

If you can’t make it to the tracks, you can watch every Super DIRTcar Series race live on DIRTVision.
