Devil’s Bowl Banquet of Champions set for Saturday in Saratoga
WEST HAVEN, Vt.– Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s 2024 Banquet of Champions is set for this Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The 2024 season was one of the best and most competitive season in recent memory, with the point battles coming down to the final night of racing in nearly every division. Logan Denis and Rob Steele were the only title contenders breathing easy at September’s end. The rest scratched and clawed all the way through the final night.
Over $25,000 will be paid out across five divisions along with numerous special awards like Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Driver and Sportsmanship, plus the Dedication Award, the Award of Excellence and the John Bruno Award.
For the third time in the last four years, Orwell, Vt.’s Tim LaDuc will collect high honors as the Sunoco Sportsman Modified Champion, the fruit of a highly successful partnership with car owner Steve LaRose of Hulbert’s Supply. He defeated his old rival, Vince Quenneville, Jr., by the narrowest of margins, two points, to earn the championship. LaDuc’s title is worth $5,000 with another $9,500 going to the rest of the top 15 Sportsman campaigners.
He will be joined by O’Reilly Auto Parts Limited Sportsman Champion Scott Towslee, who climbed two positions in the standings on the final night to seize the title, Hoosier Racing Tire Novice Champion Logan Denis, Fisher Auto Parts Mini-Stock Champion Brian Blake and Friend Construction 500cc Mini-Sprint Champion Gage Provencher.
Over 300 people are expected to attend the final hurrah of a successful 2024 season. Justin St. Louis will host the event as the Master of Ceremonies. The top 20 Sunoco Sportsman and O’Reilly Auto Parts Limited Sportsman drivers will be recognized on stage, along with the top 15 Fisher Auto Parts Mini-Stock drivers will also receive awards, with the top 10 Hoosier Racing Tire Novice Sportsman and Friend Construction 500cc Mini Sprint drivers. Now two-time 9th State Cannabis Crown Vic Champion, Rob Steele, will also receive his award with the rest of the top 10 Crown Vic pilots.
As always, Devil’s Bowl Speedway wishes to remind attendees of the dress code that applies to every Night of Champions Banquet. The following items are strictly prohibited: Sweatpants, hoodies, sneakers, boots, baseball caps, t-shirts, camouflage, anything ripped or torn, shirts or pants with large graphics or text.
