Stafford Speedway Welcomes D&L Services as Track Welder and Contingency Sponsor for 2025 Season
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway will welcome D&L Services to the track in 2025 in several capacities. D&L Services will serve as the official track welder as well as becoming the newest member of the Stafford family of contingency sponsors. D&L Services will be on hand at the track every Friday night during the 2025 season offering welding assistance to all 5 weekly divisions.
“We’re at the track for the competitors and I’ve been around racing all my life and I love racing,” said Dan Meyer, owner of D&L Services. “I feel like I’ve built a pretty good rapport with all the drivers at the Speedbowl, including some of the drivers from Stafford who travel to the Speedbowl. I’ve had a lot of people ask me when I was going to be at another track and I’m really happy to have the opportunity to come to Stafford. If there’s a conflict between Stafford and Waterford, Stafford will be my primary track and I’ll try to get someone else to cover me at Waterford. As far as equipment, I try to make it as easy as I can for the competitors so that when they need something, drivers know they don’t have to bring anything with them unless they have a specialty tool that they need. I have jacks, jackstands, impacts, grinders, sawsalls, I have pretty much everything that any competitor would need so they don’t have to run back to their trailer to grab something. I think it’s a big advantage that we offer to competitors in that I’m very readily available at any point during the night and when you come to see me, it’s all about ‘what can I do for you’ and ‘I’m going to get it done as fast as I can’. I think that goes a long way with the teams and the drivers.”
In addition to being on hand every week for welding services, D&L Services will provide a weekly $75 bonus to each Street Stock feature winner. Meyer also has several giveaways planned during the season.
“We’re going to do first place for the Street Stocks and we also like to do raffles,” said Meyer. “We’ve done tool giveaways in the past and we’re planning on doing a couple of those this season at Stafford. The last raffle we did was for a Mechanix tool box, a jack, and 4 new jack stands. We try to keep things tailored to the needs of our competitors and in the past we’ve given away things like a Milwaukee impact and a socket and wrench set. We’d also like to do some cash contingencies for other divisions at different times throughout the season.”

“We do property management and we also do mobile welding, tree removal, land clearing, commercial plowing, commercial landscaping, and we empty trash cans at parking lots and plazas for some of our customers,” said Meyer. “We like to be able to offer a wide variety of services to our customers. The business is open 24/7 and we offer emergency services. I have no problem answering the phone at midnight and coming out to someone’s location for a tree down or something like that so we can get it cleaned up.”
The first D&L Services contingency of the 2025 season will be paid out as part of the 53rd Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler®, set for April 26-27. The NAPA Spring Sizzler® kicks off on Saturday, April 26, with feature events for the Late Model, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions, along with SK Light qualifying duel races that will set the field for an extra-distance 30-lap feature event on Sunday, April 27.

Sunday, April 27, will play host to the 53rd Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler®. Filling out Sunday’s racing card will be qualifying and feature racing for the SK Modified® division, the 30-lap SK Light Modified feature, plus the NAPA Pit Party.
