McKinney Construction Continuing to Build Excitement in Stafford Speedway’s SK Lights

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2025 season at Stafford Speedway, hometown company McKinney Construction will return to the track’s contingency program.  McKinney will provide a weekly $100 bonus to each 2nd place finisher from Stafford’s SK Light Modified feature events.  During the 2024 season 12 different drivers earned a contingency bonus from McKinney Construction.

“We’re happy to once again be a contingency sponsor for the SK Light division,” said Larry McKinney, owner and operator of McKinney Construction.  “We’re looking forward to another exciting season on track at Stafford with some new competitors.”

During the 2024 season, McKinney Construction served as the primary sponsor of Amanda West’s #15 SK Light car along with Todd Owen in the SK Modified® division and Woody Pitkat in the Open Modified ranks.  McKinney Construction will once again sponsor those three cars along with several new additions for the 2025 season.

“This season we’re still going to be the primary sponsor on Amanda’s car and we’ll be back on Todd’s and Woody’s cars,” said McKinney.  “We’ll also be supporting Michael Christopher, Jr. in the SK division, Tom Butler in the Late Model division, Jason Lafayette in the Limited Late Model division, and Timmy Solomito in the Open Mods.”

The 2024 season saw McKinney’s primary car of Amanda West notch her first career SK Light victory on Aug. 16th.  The night was a double bonus for McKinney as Pitkat also drove to NAPA Victory Lane that night.

“I actually wasn’t there when Amanda and Woody both won last season,” said McKinney.  “My daughter gave birth to my fourth grandchild that night so I was at the hospital with her.  Not only did Amanda win that night, but Woody won the Open race that night as well.  While we were bummed to have missed that in person, priorities are priorities and hopefully we can be there this season to see her get her second SK Light win.”
