Weekly Racing to Begin This Saturday May 3rd at Star Speedway With the Bob Webber Sr. / Jim Martel Memorial Race
After kicking off the 2025 Star Speedway racing season last Sunday with the Bunny Brawl, weekly racing begins this Saturday with a five-division slate.
The 350 Supermodifieds will highlight the Saturday May 3rd program with the Bob Webber Sr / Jim Martel memorial 47-lap race, worth a minimum of $1,947 to win. Joining them on track will be the Woody’s Auto Street Stocks, Bumpy’s Slingshots and Six Shooters, who will all be running 25-lap features, along with the Crown Vic Cruisers, who will be racing 20 laps in their main event.
Saturday’s racing program will begin with practice at 3:30 p.m., heat racing will start at 5 p.m., with features to follow. Pit gates are scheduled to open at 2:30 p.m. for Star Members, and 2:45 p.m. for non-members. Pit admission will be $35 for members, and $40 for non-members. Grandstands are set to open up at 3 p.m., with admission being $15 for adults, $12 for Sr/Jr, and $10 with a military ID.
Along with Saturday’s racing program, there will be open practice on Friday May 2nd. The put area will open at 3 p.m. on Friday, with practice set to run from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Admission for Friday’s practice will be $30 for all. There will also be paid early practice available on Saturday morning from 10:30-1 p.m., on a first come first serve basis.
