ATQMRA Up-To Speed 9/4/2020
Tomorrow, Saturday, September 5th, is race day at Wall Stadium Speedway. This will be our fourth scheduled event of the season, and the first race of the year where our handicap system will be used.
Wall Stadium Schedule
1:00 PM – Pits Open
3:00 PM-5:00 PM – Open Practice Rotations (5 Divisions)
4:30 PM- Grandstands Open
5:10 PM- Drivers Meeting*
5:30 PM- Qualifying/Heat Races
6:30 PM-7:00 PM- Intermission
7:00 PM- Features Begin (ATQMRA First Feature, 25 Laps)
*Please plan on attending the Wall Stadium Meeting at 5:10 at the speedway pit trailer, followed by the ATQMRA Driver’s Meeting at the Sload Trailer immediately after.*
I do not have a practice order for tomorrow. Generally, we are the last division in rotation and we usually get 3 rounds.
Wall Stadium Handicap
Handicap is based on your last 3 finishes, not worst 3 for the season. We are anticipating to be in the 15/16 range on car count tomorrow. Assuming we are in the anticipated range, the top 5 from finishers from each heat will qualify for their handicap. If we only have 13 cars or less, the top 4 heat race finishers will qualify for handicap.
*Please refer to my 8/31 email to see handicap ranking*

Wall Stadium Masks
Everyone should know the deal by now. ATQMRA mandates masks when in and around the sign-in trailer and at the driver’s meeting. Like last time, please expect to attend both the Wall Stadium Driver’s Meeting + the ATQMRA Driver’s meeting.
Other than that, you are responsible for your own public health, please take the necessary precautions when interacting with others.
According to their website, Wall Stadium does require a mask for entry and while on the property. Wall Stadium Officials will police this policy. Please represent the ATQMRA well as we are guests of the speedway.
Chapel Hill
Due to complications surrounding the pandemic, the Chapel Hill race has been cancelled for 2020. We anticipate returning to Chapel Hill in 2021.
Waterford
The rain-out from Waterford last weekend has been postponed to Saturday, 10/24/2020. As it stands, Waterford will be our next race after Wall tomorrow. We are really looking for a lot of support for this event as we look to establish a great relationship with the track’s new management group, and build for 2021.
Remaining Anticipated 2020 Schedule as of 9/4/2020
Sept 5- Wall Stadium
Oct 24- Waterford
Nov 7- Bethel

Karen sent a confirmation email out to everyone who ordered tires and fuel for this weekend, so everyone should be good to go there.
See everyone tomorrow!
