TickMike.com to Serve as Presenting Sponsor for Stafford SRX Event & SK Modified® All-Star Showdown; SRX Tickets Go On Sale January 15th

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway and TickMike.com have announced the TickMike.com SK Modified® All-Star Showdown to run in conjunction with the Superstar Racing Experience event scheduled for Saturday, June 12th.  A fixture in the Stafford paddock for many seasons, TickMike.com will also serve as the presenting sponsor for the inaugural SRX event.

“SK Modified® racing is some of the best racing around and an All-Star race is what these drivers deserve,” explained Tyler Meyhoefer of TickMike.com.  “Our family has been involved with racing since back in the 60’s. We really enjoy coming to the track and supporting the race teams and want to see short track racing live on and succeed.”

The TickMike.com SK Modified® All-Star Showdown will showcase the top SK Modified® drivers in a 50-lap event featuring a purse of $20,000.  The top-15 in Stafford SK Modified® points will be locked into the field along with SK Modified® past champions.  Race fans can expect a unique all-star style race format for the non-points event.

“This event is going to be big,” explained Stafford Speedway COO Paul Arute.  “Mike approached us last season with the idea of an All-Star race and at the time it really didn’t fit into our schedule.  With the addition of Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham’s Superstar Racing Experience event in June, it made perfect sense to showcase our SK Modified® drivers with an All-Star event alongside the stars of the SRX series.”

The TickMike.com SK Modified® All-Star Showdown will run in conjunction with the star-studded SRX Racing Series.  The new series, led by racing legends Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham, will debut at Stafford Speedway on Saturday, June 12th before embarking on a 6-race schedule featuring some of the most historic tracks in the country including Eldora Speedway, Knoxville Raceway, Lucas Oil Raceway Park, Slinger Speedway, and Nashville Fairgrounds.

“We are honored that Tony and Ray have chosen Stafford to launch their series,” continued Arute.  “We have been very impressed with how the SRX team has approached this new series with a fan’s first mentality.  It will be a treat to see guys from different racing disciplines like Helio Castroneves, Mark Webber, and Bobby Labonte tackle Stafford.”
