Seekonk iRacing Drivers Head to NHMS for Modified Showdown Thursday
SEEKONK, Mass. — The Seekonk Speedway iRacing Road Trip Tour will return to action on Thursday, January 28, as competitors head north to the virtual New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a Modified showdown. Utilizing the Tour-Type Modified offered by iRacing, with a fixed setup, drivers will compete in the Richie’s Insulation Mountain Man 75 as race two of the six-race series. The race will be broadcasted live, for free, on Extreme Sim TV’s YouTube channel.
In race one — a Street Stock race at Lanier Speedway earlier in January — PJ Evans scored the victory over Reagan Parent and Ryan Kuhn. With the win, Evans leads the early points standings by two over Parent, and four over Kuhn. Other drivers inside the top-five include Ryan Doucette and Jake Johnson.
Richie’s Insulation, located in Westport, Massachusetts, is a family-business started over 20 years ago, servicing both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Richie’s is well-known for their quality services, fair prices and their commitment to customers. They have been involved in racing at a local level, at Seekonk, for many years.
New Hampshire Motor Speedway is known for producing a drafting showdown in real-life, keeping drivers bunched together in a similar style to a NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona or Talladega. It should be a show race fans won’t want to virtually miss as some of Seekonk’s best compete against each other for more than $400 in prizes.
Former Seekonk champions Kuhn, Dylan Estrella and Richie Murray are expected, along with multiple others, including Derek Gluchacki, Elias Dib, Nick Wood, Darryl Church and more. Additional entries include Thomas Axsom, Nate McCombe, Brad Sousa, Brenden LaBelle, Jake Vanada and others.
Drivers will be chasing $75 to score the feature win, courtesy of Richie’s Insulation, along with additional funds to the remaining of the top-five finishers. A race sponsorship is set at $300 — including $200 going towards the top-five in each event — and $100 going towards the season-ending point fund. On top of the race awards and point fund, each event has a large selection of contingency awards on the line. Additional sponsors of the Road Trip Tour for 2021 include Watermark Electric, Barrington Automotive and Helger’s Southcoast Power Equipment. For a full list of contingency awards planned, see below:

Following New Hampshire, additional races on the Road Trip Tour will take place through the month of April. The series visits Five Flags Speedway in Florida with the ARCA Menards Series car on February 25th. On Thursday, March 11, Seekonk Speedway’s virtual teams return to the abandoned Myrtle Beach Speedway with the Super Late Model, while Langley Speedway hosts a Legends Cars special on March 25. The champion will be crowned at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on April 22 with the Late Model division.
