VOTE SEEKONK SPEEDWAY: Advance My Track Challenge Awarding $50K To One Lucky Short-Track
SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway race fans have the chance to help the Massachusetts third-mile take the next lap into the future. As part of a new initiative by Advance Auto Parts, the sponsor of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series, Advance is awarding one short-track in the country $50,000. The winning track will be determined by a vote, as the field begins to narrow down. The voting is open to fans, and you can vote for Seekonk by visiting www.advancemytrack.com. Fans can vote up to three times each day and each fan that votes will entered to win prizes of their own from Advance Auto Parts.
The Advance My Track challenge original fan voting runs through Tuesday, April 27. The field will be narrowed to six tracks that get the most votes. After April 27, there will be two-days of final round, which begins on May 9. One track will have the opportunity to win $50,000 — funds can be used track facility enhancements and community-based programs. The runner-up track will receive $15,000, while the third-place facility earns $10,000. Seekonk Speedway is deeply involved with the local community, donating to charities and holding events at the Speedway prior to COVID-19.
Advance Auto Parts sponsors Ryan Blaney in the NASCAR Cup Series, and Blaney carried Seekonk Speedway’s name on the C-Post of his Penske Racing Ford at Phoenix Raceway, where he was able to score a stage win.
“Through the ‘Advance My Track Challenge,’ we invite racing fans to show their support for their favorite NASCAR short track while bringing awareness to the great work each track is doing in their respective communities,” Jason McDonell, Advance Auto Parts Chief Marketing Officer, said in a NASCAR release.
