Saturday, July 10, 2021 – Holland International Speedway Information Saturday, July 10 – Race Information

Holland, N.Y. – (June 16, 2021) – The race originally scheduled for Saturday, July 10, 2021 for the Race of Champions Modified, Street and FOAR Cylinder Dash Series has been cancelled and will not be run at the facility.

The track is undergoing renovation and is in a state of construction. The facility will not be ready for the July 10 event due to the circumstances. It is the goal of Holland International Speedway and Race of Champions management to provide fans, participants and employees with the best and safest experience possible, therefore, the decision has been reached to cancel this event and open the speedway on Saturday, August 14, 2021 with the running of the 32nd Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak.

“This is definitely not news we want to relate. We are dedicated to have the speedway open for the August 14 event providing everyone with a great tradition and celebration of the sport on that night,” stated Joe Skotnicki, Race of Champions.

“We have been working hard and for many months,” stated Ron Bennett, owner Holland Speedway. “However we have encountered some circumstances that are going to prolong our process. We will get the speedway opened for August 14.”

The Bennett family has owned Holland International Speedway since it opened in 1960. While the facility remains “for sale” the family has made a long-term commitment to rebuild and re-establish the facility.

Race of Champions management is in negotiation with another race track to not lose the Saturday, July 10, race night and will have information released shortly on an alternative site for the event.

The Race of Champions is a sanctioning body presenting Modified and Stock Car racing on asphalt and dirt surfaces throughout the Northeast, with events in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey with primary marketing partners Hoosier Racing Tire, VP Racing Fuels, Waddell Communications, Image X Graphic Design, Sherwood Racing Wheels, PavedTrackDigest.com and FX Caprara. The 71st annual Race of Champions weekend will take place in 2021 at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pennsylvania and is the second longest consecutive auto-racing event in North America, second only to the Indianapolis 500.
