Porsche Cars Australia announces updated 2021 Carrera Cup Australia calendar
Travel restrictions see Phillip Island added to Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia calendar
Due to ongoing travel restrictions in several states, Porsche Cars Australia (PCA) has revised the 2021 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia calendar in-line with the latest changes to the Repco Supercars calendar and the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix.
The new calendar sees a delay of seven weeks due to the current outbreaks before the series is scheduled to restart again on the 01-03 October. Round 5 is scheduled for Bass Coast Festival of Motorsport, from October 22-24, while the Bathurst 1000 moves to a 04-07 November time slot.
Carrera Cup Australia teams return to New South Wales (restrictions permitting) for the penultimate round at Sydney Motorsport Park on the 19-21 November before heading north to the Gold Coast in Queensland for the final round.
PCA has also been forced to postpone the 2021 Porsche Michelin Junior Training Workshop until February 2022. PCA will also announce a revised 2021 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge calendar in the coming weeks.
