51st Forrest Rogers Memorial Offers $10k to Win for Modifieds This Saturday and Will Be Seen Live Streaming on Dirt Track Digest (Dtd)

BECHTELSVILLE, PA AUGUST 10, 2021 . . . As a result of winning the Modified feature race last Saturday night at Grandview Speedway Craig Von Dohren has moved to within 19 points of Brett Kressley in the chase for the NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified championship. Kressley, the point leader for much of the season, finished 15th in the feature race. Going into the $10,000 to win 51st Annual Forrest Rogers Memorial on Saturday, August 14th, Kressley, shooting for his first Modified championship, has 3803 points while Von Dohren, the defending champion looking for his 12th title has 3784 points. Third is held by Jared Umbenhauer with 3445 counters. Just five NASCAR point events remain on the 2021 schedule.

In the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division Dylan Hoch, with a win last Saturday, is closing in on point leader Kenny Gilmore. Hoch has four wins and 2732 points while Gilmore, winner of one feature, has 2793 points giving him a 61 point edge over Hoch. Defending champion Brian Hirthler is third in the standings with three wins and 2551 points.

And in the third division of competition, the 602 Mini Series Sportsman, Ryan Grim leads the standings by 45 points over second place Glenn Strunk who has 849 tallies to Grim’s 894.

This Saturday’s Rogers Memorial offers the Modified talents a chance to win $10,000 and will be important to the point chasers seeking to improve on the standings in the battle for the title. And the same goes for those battling for the championship in the Sportsman. The 602 Sportsman will not be in action this Saturday. Fans unable to be at the race can live stream it on Dirt Track Digest (DTD).

With $10,000 up for grabs interest is high in the Rogers Memorial so all entries will be set to give it their best effort and there are some visitors expected.

Fans and crew members do not need to have a NASCAR license. Drivers, new to Grandview, can purchase a temporary license for the one night and good for 15 days.

Adult admission is $30 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $10. Under 6 are admitted free. There is an August 21 rain date in place. If it is not needed then there will be a tripleheader show featuring Modifieds, Sportsman and 602 Sportsman run on that date.

Meet & Greet will include Modified racer Kevin Hirthler along with Sportsman racers Brian Hirthler and Adrianna Deliponti plus young Jesse Hirthler. There will also be a Chapel on the Hill service at 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the first turn pavilion.

Lap and qualifying event sponsorships are available for the 51st Annual Freedom 76 set for September 18th. The winner will walk off with at least $30,000. For info contact Tina Rogers or Tommy Kramer at the track or telephone Ernie Saxton at 267.934.7286.
