LAKE CITY, FL Sun, Fun, Speed & Money.

The 2022 ‘Sunshine Swing’ will be the richest edition to date for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco.

$126,435 is the total purse money up for grabs for STSS Modified and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman competitors Feb. 8-12 at All-Tech Raceway. Numerous product certificates and special awards will add to that total as the series’ Sunshine State pilgrimage approaches at the Lake City, Fla., facility.

Open practice kicks off the ‘Sunshine Swing’ on Tuesday (Feb. 8) for all divisions.

Racing begins on Wednesday (Feb. 9) as the STSS Modifieds chase a $4,000 payday with a $21,250 purse up for grabs. The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman race $1,500 at the top of heap and a $5,930 total purse each of the first two nights.

On night No. 2 (Thursday, Feb. 10), the STSS Modified purse gets a boost up to $21,950 before significant increases each of the final two nights. The Modifieds race for a $5,000 winner’s share on the second night of racing.

For Friday (Feb. 11), both the STSS Modifieds and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman get upgrades in pay.

The Modified winner’s share jumps to $6,000 and a $1,000 reward for 10th-place. The purse for the third night totals $26,800 while the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman race for $2,000 to win and a $7,625 total purse.

The Saturday (Feb. 12) finale rewards the STSS Modifieds with a purse just shy of $30,000, with $8,000 allotted to the winner of the 50-lap affair.

The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman race for another $2,000 to win and $7,625 total purse.
