Kristen Costa Promoted to Director of Communications
Loudon, NH — New Hampshire Motor Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager, Jerry Gappens, today announced the promotion of Kristen Costa to Director of Communications at New England’s largest sports and entertainment facility.
Costa will now be responsible for the day-to-day management of the communications department; which includes publicity, promotions, media outreach, web-site management, event programs, and more.
The New Hampshire native joined “The Magic Mile” part-time in 2004 as the Public Relations Assistant. In 2005 Costa was hired full- time as the Communications Manager. Costa is a 2004 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University’s Three-Year Undergraduate Honors Degree Program in Business Administration and she received her a Master’s of Business Administration and a Certificate in Marketing in 2005. She resides in Nashua N.H.
“For the past several months, Kristen has done an excellent job of executing creative and solid publicity plans and working closely with media to promote New Hampshire Motor Speedway and its events,” Gappens said. “She is well-suited to take on the responsibilities of this new role.”
New Hampshire Motor Speedway hosts a variety of motorsports events, including two major NASCAR weekends and an IZOD IndyCar Series event. Other events include the Vintage Racing Celebration with a Classic and Car Show; the oldest motorcycle event in the country, the Loudon Classic; and a variety of sports car, club racing, and numerous driving/rider schools.
