Sarff Snags Top Spot in Tight POWRi National Midget League Championship Chase

Belleville, IL. (8/10/23) Sailing into the final six events of the 2023 racing season for the POWRi National Midget League, the top of the leaderboards in the championship standings continues to wage contentiously with familiar faces all eyeing the prized position.
Riding a wave of front-running momentum with back-to-back top-two finishes at Pevely, a new competitor circles atop the standings as Mason City Illinois wheelman Karter Sarff has taken his family team to the top as the leaderboard through pure grit and determination. Wheeling his Provisio-Partners, Jamie Sarff Construction, Collision Concepts, Clearview Glass, O’Dell Auto, #21K into a trio of heat race wins and hard-charger awards as well as a single high point qualifier accolade all in 2023 action.
Boosting the bragging rights of leading the POWRi National Midget League in positions gained by advancing forty-eight spots on the year, “The Shark”, also touts fifty-five laps leading this year. Claiming a pair of wins in the season, first at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex and then at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, the 2018 POWRi National Midget League Rookie of the Year aims to continue his hot streak throughout the end of the season to earn championship glory.

Blitzing up the standings into second place in POWRi National Midget League seasonal points with four wins on the year, Cannon McIntosh comes into the final stretch of races behind Sarff by a mere ninety points. With an already impressive stat-producing racing resume, McIntosh has moved into striking distance with a late-season championship surge as the year winds down to finalization in his home state of Oklahoma.
Beginning the season as a staple of consistency with nine top-ten performances, the Mounce-Stout Motorsports challenge of Corbin Rueschenberg slid slightly in the standings to third over the past month, now only one-hundred-ten points behind the leader. The Mesa Arizona young gun aims to remain steady to clinch the rookie of the year points standings as well as shooting a recovery in the standings with stops at familiar running grounds to end the season and perhaps clinch the league title.
Strikingly impressive and consistently frontrunners, a trio of top-tier competitors in Keith Kunz Motorsports remains in prominent positions to round out the top six in the season as rookie phenom Cooper Williams, leading mainstay Taylor Reimer, and Lake Ozark Winner Gavin Miller all within three-hundred-fifty points within the POWRi National Midget League 2023 competitional standings as the final six races approaches.
