RUDOLPH RETURNS: Erick Rudolph Rejoins Super DIRTcar Series as Full-Time Competitor in 2025 – YankeeRacer.com

RUDOLPH RETURNS: Erick Rudolph Rejoins Super DIRTcar Series as Full-Time Competitor in 2025

The Ransomville, NY driver aims for his first Series title after finishing second in 2018

WEEDSPORT, NY(February 25, 2025) – After a three-year break, Erick Rudolph will return to the premier Big Block Modified Series in the Northeast.

The Ransomville, NY driver joins the Super DIRTcar Series as a full-time competitor for the first time since 2021, resuming his quest for a title when the Series kicks off its championship season at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday, March 29

His decision comes after earning three consecutive BRP Tour championships – a Series he chose to run to keep his career “fresh.”

“Last year, we did most of the races, and we did the [Super DIRTcar Series] before,” Rudolph said. “We took a couple of years off, and we’re ready to do it again. Every few years, you just have to do something a little different. I’ve been racing Modifieds long enough that if you don’t do things different every few years, it just feels like the same grind.”

Rudolph will return to that grind this season as part of a 31-race schedule that travels to four tracks where he’s already reached Super DIRTcar Series Victory Lane. This year’s schedule also returns to Sharon Speedway, where he’s earned five wins, including a victory in the Lou Blaney Memorial on three occasions.

Despite returning to places where he’s found success, he’s entering every race with the same mentality with his Motech Enterprises/ BBL Racing team.

“Just do the best I can,” Rudolph said. “It all starts with being prepared. There are quite a few races, but they aren’t on top of each other too much. August is a little busy, but other than that, it doesn’t seem too bad.”

That mentality paid off at Volusia Speedway Park during Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, where he earned three top fives, capped off by a victory in the event’s finale where he drove from 11th to the lead in 25 laps.

His victory gives him confidence entering Power in the Pines at New Egypt, even though he’s battling the best drivers in Big Block Modified racing for the right to be called champion at the World of Outlaws World Finals.

“I don’t have any expectations right now,” Rudolph said. “There’s a couple of guys that are more consistent at every single track they go to and for good reason. They have good teams, and they’re good drivers.

“We’ll go into it, do the best we can, and we’ll see what happens.”

Rudolph and the Super DIRTcar Series kick off their 2025 championship season at New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ, with Power in the Pines on Saturday, March 29.
