Star Speedway Weekly Division Championships to Be Decided This Friday Night
(September 20, 2023) — As the 2023 racing season enters its final months, this Friday, September 22 will see five of Star Speedway’s weekly division championships decided in the final points races of the year. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, but Mother Nature planning rain for Saturday forced Star to move the show to Friday night.

In one of the closest battles this season, Randy Cole leads the Izzett Construction Late Model standings by 14 points over his closest competitor entering the weekend. Dan Sweeney, Connor McDougal, and Justin Storace are all still mathematically in contention to take the crown.
The Woody’s Auto Street Stock Championship on the other hand is already decided, as Shane Gendron holds a 141-point lead over second-place driver Rob DeAlmeida.
Rookie Nate LeClair has all but sealed up the K-COB Slingshot championship as well. He leads the standings by 51 points over Dave Cameron. In the 2 To Go Show Six Shooters, Jeremy Hayes holds a 27-point lead over Billy Eastman as the division enters championship night, with both drivers still having a chance at the crown. Veteran Billy Osborne will be the 2023 MLM Diagnostic Pure Stock Champion, as he holds an 81-point lead over last year’s champion, George Riley Jr.
