Qualifying: Szegedy Fast at Monadnock
Veteran collects first Coors Light Pole Award of the season
Winchester, NH — Todd Szegedy has won his eighth career Coors Light Pole Award during qualifying for the Monadnock 200 Sunday at Monadnock Speedway. Szegedy topped the session with a fast lap of 12.447 seconds (72.307 mph) to claim the top spot. Ron Silk followed in second with a time of 12.575 seconds.
Andy Seuss, Matt Hirschman and James Civali completed the top five. Ron Yuhas Jr. followed in sixth with Justin Bonsignore seventh and Erick Rudolph eighth. Glenn Reen and Mike Stefanik completed the top 10.
Ted Christopher, who won the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Monadnock last year, qualified 14th.
Szegedey, the 2003 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion, will lead the field of 28 cars in the Modadnock 200, which will take the green flag at 4:30 p.m.
