Rain takes out another Fast Friday at Seekonk Speedway

Seekonk, MA — For the third time this season, Mother Nature has kept the competitors of Seekonk Speedway’s Fast Friday series home on race night. This time, the New England Pro4 Late Model Series was also kept at bay, as a steady rainfall fell throughout the morning and afternoon in the Southeastern MA region.

With three races in the books for the Pure Stocks, Randy Moretti of West Warwick RI leads the championship points standings, with three runner-up finishes. Ed Flanagan Jr sits second, with Bill Chouinard, Jamie Salley and rookie Jesse Melberg rounding out the top five.

Ed Gould leads the charge in the Sport4 class, with Kyle Pacheco, John Lamake, Chris Bissell and Robert Henry taking the rest of the top five.

In the Seekonk Youth Racing Association 750 class, Branden Dion, fresh off his first win of the season sits atop the standings, with reigning 600 champion Nick Lascoula on his heels. Adam Swift, Willy Sanchez and Kaitlyn Donovan round out the top five.

The 600 class for the S.Y.R.A. has Curtis Rolando out front, with Shelby Donovan, David Lougee, Austin Blais and Taylor Bowser in the top five.
