Jeffrey Earnhardt to Pull Double Duty at Stafford Speedway’s CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend
Stafford Springs, CT — EJ Legacy Enterprises has announced that NASCAR Camping World Series driver Jeffrey Earnhardt will join the Late Model field and take the wheel of the #92 King Ward Coach Lines / SAFCO Foam Chevrolet during the 36th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend. Earnhardt, the son of Kerry Earnhardt and grandson of the late 7-time Sprint Cup Champion Dale Earnhardt, will pilot the car normally driven by Tom Fearn in the final event of the 2008 Late Model season at Stafford Motor Speedway.
In his first visit to Stafford last season, Earnhardt qualified 20th and finished on the lead lap in 12th position driving the #1 DEI Chevrolet Camping World Series car. Earnhardt will be driving the #8 DEI Chevrolet at this year’s CARQUEST Fall Final. Fearn is currently fourth in the 2008 Stafford Motor Speedway Late Model points standings. Both Legacy and Fearn are friends with Earnhardt’s crew chief Clinton Cram, which led to offering Earnhardt the Late Model ride to gain seat time at Stafford.
“Clinton is from the area and we used to race against him at Riverside and Monadnock,” says Fearn. “We still keep in touch and we were talking about the Camping World Series race at Stafford and Clinton mentioned that Jeffrey struggled a little bit with the track last year and he was wondering how Jeffrey could get seat time at Stafford. We offered him the 92 car and hopefully the extra seat time can help him out with his Camping World Series effort at Stafford. Maybe we can get the Camping World Series fans to hang around and see what Late Model racing at Stafford is all about on Sunday.”
The 36th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend kicks off on Friday, September 26th with a practice session running from 2:00pm to 6:30pm for Stafford’s weekly divisions. The General Admission grandstands will be open to the public at no charge for the practice session.

Saturday’s events wrap up with feature events for Stafford’s SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock divisions, including the all-star Paradiso-Muska Shoot-Out for the DARE Stock division.
The Fall Final Weekend continues on Sunday, September 28th with the famous Stafford CARQUEST Belts & Hose Pit Party kicking off the day’s activities from 10:00am to 11:00am, with 370 laps of feature racing to follow. The Camping World Series 150-lap feature kicks off the day’s events at noon live on HDNet at noon, followed by the 40-lap SK Modified® feature, the 150-lap Whelen Modified Tour feature, and the 30-lap Late Model feature will be the final feature event of the weekend and of the 2008 season at Stafford Motor Speedway.
