PJ Stergios Take Iron Mike trophy in NEMA Lite Feature
WINCHESTER, NH — In the 30-lap NEMA Lite portion of the evening, Scott Bigelow and Paul Bigelow lined up one, two with Paul the early leader at the drop of the green. It only took two laps before Kevin Hutchens came from the third row into second place. Behind the leader they were already four wide off turn four with PJ Stergios taking the advantage and moving into third. He did not stop there because by lap eight PJ shot by Hutchens into the runner-up spot. Stergios was not going to settle for runner-up and charged after Paul Bigelow, catching and passing him on lap 13. When Avery Stoehr tried an inside move on Hutchens, they made contact and Stoehr spun on the backstretch, bringing out a lap 17 caution flag.
When everyone was put in order, Stergios was leading with P. Bigelow, Hutchens, Andy Barrows and Canadian Logan Rayvals the top-5.
A lap 18 spin for Avery Stoehr, his second of the race, brought out the yellow and Stoehr got the black flag for the two spin rule.

The green flew and so did Stergios. On this restart, Barrows got a run on Hutchens and P. Bigelow, putting himself in second place. A lap later, Carl Medeiros, Jr. driving the Jennifer Scrivani owned #21, a ride he got because he wrecked his own car in qualifying, spun in turn 4. This caused another restart, where Barrows got the jump on Stergios and lead on lap 22. Stergios fought back, the two racing side by side until Medeiros brought out the yellow for his second spin of this race, ending the night for the #21.
On the last restart of the race, Stergios turned up the jets and drove outside Barrows to become the final leader of the race. Six laps later, Stergios enjoyed a straightaway lead as he crossed under the checkered.
