Todd Annarummo picks up Seekonk VMRS 100 lap main; Dylan Estrella, Paul Lallier and Scott Dion also win Bradford Motor Annex & Racing Guys night
SEEKONK, MA — Second generation racer Todd Annarummo returned to his home track and picked up his first win of the season with the Valenti Modified Racing Series. Rob Goodenough was the early pace setter, leading the first ten circuits until championship contender Richard Savary moved out front. Savary was able to open some distance from the field until Annarummo moved into second and hunted down the leader.
At the 1/3 mark of the century grind, Todd moved into the lead, not to relinquish it again. But it wasn’t one without a fight. Late in the race, Steve Masse, who started deep in the field moved into second by lap 80, and closed in on Todd with 15 laps remaining. With a couple of restarts over the final laps, Masse raced side by side with Todd, but could not overtake the Swansea, MA native and settled for second. Savary, Tommy Barrett and Louie Mechalides rounded out the top five.

Lineham led only a couple of laps before Rose took over, and it was only a couple of laps after that when the N Attleboro driver took over. Bernard moved into second only a few laps later, but could not mount a challenge, and settled for second. Rose, Hudson and Jeramee Lillie rounded out the top five.

Paul Lallier picked up his third win of the season in the 30 lap Bradford Motor Annex/Racing Guys Street Stock feature. Vinny Pangelinan and Steve Potter swapped the lead back and forth over the first half dozen laps before Pangelinan spun. Potter took over and set the pace with Lallier and Craig Pianka in his tail.
As the halfway point came up, Lallier saw his opportunity and slid past the Providence, RI driver, and led the rest of the way. Potter held on to second, with Rey Lovelace Gerard Berthelette and Craig Pianka rounding out the top five.
Berthelette picked up the Racing Guys Leo “The Lion” Hard Charger award. Vinny Pangelinan was the Simpson’s Auto Care Lucky Draw winner of $100.

Scott Dion moved past his son Brandon with eight laps remaining, and held off Branden and Rick Martin through a pair of late race restarts to pick up his second win of the season in the Sport Trucks. Lenny Guy led the charge for the first dozen laps before contact from points leader John Paiva put him around. This moved Branden Dion into the lead at the halfway point.
Branden held off his dad for several laps before the senior Dion moved past and showed the 15 year old how it’s done. Martin moved into second with four laps remaining and tried to pressure Scott, to no avail. Martin settled for second with Rob Murphy, Nick Uhrig and Mike Cavallaro third through fifth.
