PRACTICE: Moffitt Fast in Greenville Run
3-Time K&N Pro East Pole Winner Leads Both Monday Sessions
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Brett Moffitt continued to show the fast way around Greenville Pickens Speedway.
Moffitt, who has won the Coors Light Pole Award three times at the flat half-mile asphalt oval, paced both practice sessions for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Labor Day race. Moffitt’s time in the first practice of 21.151 seconds (85.102 mph) was the top overall time in preparation for Monday night’s Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140.
Moffitt also led the second practice with a lap of 21.223 (84.814), which was second fastest overall.
Dylan Kwasniewski was third fastest overall with his first practice session time of 21.262 (84.658).
The next five fastest times were all recorded in the second 45-minute run.
Jesse Little had a lap of 21.285 (84.567), followed by Cale Conly, Ryan Gifford, Kwasniewski again, and Ben Rhodes. Ben Kennedy, Austin Dyne, Gray Gaulding and Daniel Suarez rounded out the top 10 times overall.
Qualifying is scheduled for 4 p.m., with the green flag for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140 slated for 6 p.m.
