Rain Forces SoMod Tour Race Postponement
G-Oil 150 At SNMP Rescheduled for October 5
KENLY, N.C. – Rain showers in the forecast on Saturday night forced a postponement of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour’s G-Oil 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park.
The race is now set to get underway on Saturday, October 5, following the completion of the track’s local division feature events.
Earlier in the day, Burt Myers won his 25th career pole award and first at Southern National. Shortly after the completion of qualifying, a light rain began to fall on the track. With rain forecasted for the rest of the evening, the race was postponed shortly thereafter. Myers and Andy Seuss will begin on the front row when the G-Oil 150 resumes at Southern National on October 5.
The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour will race next Saturday at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C.
