Brian Tagg to Enter ACT, Thompson Events

Brian Tagg of Oxford, MA will be racing about 80 percent of the American-Canadian Tour schedule with his #9 Late Model. Tagg’s first goal is to qualify for the 150-lap season opener at Lee USA Speedway. He wants to gain experience at each track to prepare for a full-time effort in 2015. “We would like to do every race this year, but Airborne might be tough to make it to,” Tagg said. “Loudon is in my sights. It’s a dream come true to be able to even try and qualify for the September race.”

Tagg called the cost of SK Modified racing outrageous. (Late Model racing) “seemed to make the most sense,” Tagg said. … “I really wanted to try new tracks and longer races and a lot of different racers.”

Tagg will also drive the #39 for a few events at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, where he has raced Mini Stocks and the former Thompson Modified division. The crew consists of “my dad, gramps, Cousin Shawn and Uncle Jack,” Tagg said. “When Troy and Mike Talman aren’t racing the SK, they will be helping too.”

Current sponsors are B and G Toys and Trains, Harvest Moon Health Foods, NAPA of Ayer, and Thompson Tractor. M & M Auto Body painted the chassis and the car.

Tagg is also working on plans to compete in the Lite Modifieds at Thompson. He has a meeting soon with the car owner, but nothing is finalized yet.
