Occupy the Oval & #44 Challenge Saturday at RC Madness
The third annual Occupy the Oval is at RC Madness on Saturday March 8. All oval racing classes are welcome including SK, F1, 17.5 Pan Car, 13.5 Pan Car, Legends, 1/12 Truck. Entries are $25 per class to race. Qualifying begins at 1PM. Admission is free for spectators.
All proceeds benefit Racing4Vets, an organization that gets service disabled veterans involved in motorsports. Mario Fiore said that he hopes Saturday’s event bests last year’s event, which raised almost $2,500.
Once again, the #44 Challenge will have support from the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour drivers. Defending champion Ryan Preece, 1993 champion Rick Fuller and rookie Tommy Barrett, Jr. will be competing in the #44 Challenge. The inaugural race was won by Justin Bonsignore, while Mike Stefanik won last year.
Event sponsors are: Cliff Nelson Motorsports, New Wave Batteries, Bradley Fine Line Design, RC Driver Magazine, KBE Building Corp., Team Temkin, Max Amps and Tuning Haus.
