On-Track Activity Cancelled, but Inspections Still a Go at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park

THOMPSON, CT – Due to weather constraints compounded by all of the construction taking place at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, the open practice the track had scheduled for this Saturday, March 22nd has been cancelled. The test and tune day will not be rescheduled. NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Officials will still be on site from 9am-1pm to perform courtesy inspections and sell NASCAR licenses. Shawn Waddell from Waddell Communications will be on site also to provide communication service for teams.

The Icebreaker, presented by Town Fair Tire, is next on the Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park schedule. An optional practice day will be held on Friday, April 4, and the event will officially begin with qualifying and features for four divisions on Saturday, April 5. The highpoint of the event is Sunday, April 6, featuring a Fan Appreciation Party and features for seven divisions, including the Icebreaker 150 presented by Town Fair Tire.
