Stewart Friesen to Join NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour for Six Events

DIRTcar Nationals champion Stewart Friesen of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario will enter six NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events this season.

According to his web site, the reigning Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour champion will make his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour debut Friday night at Stafford Motor Speedway for the TSI Harley-Davidson 125. He will also enter five additional events: New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 12, Stafford on August 8, Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on August 13, New Hampshire on July 20 and Thompson on October 19.

Friesen will enter the Race of Champions 200 at Oswego Speedway on September 14.

Friesen, the two-time  Super DIRT Week winner at the New York State Fairgrounds and 2005 DIRTCar Super Series Rookie of the Year, has over 100 races scheduled for this season. He has four victories at Volusia, Grandview and Fonda this season, including Saturday night at Fonda.
