Little Eager for Nascar K&N Pro Series Stop at Virginia International Raceway

SHERRILLS FORD, North Carolina (August 13, 2014) — After posting a top-5 finish in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East’s first road course race of the season, held last weekend at Watkins Glen International Raceway, reigning Sunoco Rookie of the Year, Jesse Little, heads into this weekend’s race at Virginia International Raceway with confidence on his side.

Little, who had to start at the rear of the field at Watkins Glen due to adjustments made to the car after qualifying, charged through the field to post one of the strongest runs of the race.

“We had a great NASCAR Technical Institute Chevrolet at Watkins Glen and showed we’re capable of chasing a win at the road courses,” Little said. “Going into this weekend’s Biscuitville 125 at Virginia International Raceway we’re planning to unload a similar set-up to last week and then take it to the front again.”

Support this season from the NASCAR Technical Institute has keyed Little’s run to the top-5 in the driver’s championship points standings.

“Having the NASCAR Technical Institute behind our race team is big,” he explained. “They do so much for our team and to have their students behind me is an honor. We’re hoping to give them plenty to cheer about as we head down the home stretch of the season.”

The partnership between Team Little Racing and NASCAR Technical Institute has been rewarding for everyone, according to John Dodson, Vice-President of Community Relations at the NASCAR Technical Institute.

“”When developing partnerships at the NASCAR Technical Institute we look for proven winners and people that share our passion for success. Partnering with Team Little Racing and driver Jesse Little has been nothing but a success,” Dodson said. “

“Jesse exemplifies everything we value and teach here at NASCAR Tech. His desire to be the best, his professionalism and communication skills are essential tools that we seek to instill in every student and graduate. Jesse is a winner and the NASCAR Tech family is excited to be a part of his success on and off the track.”

Horsepower is one facet of NASCAR Technical Institute’s support of Team Little Racing, Dodson added.

“At NASCAR Tech, top performing students build and maintain spec-engines that compete in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. This year our student built Spec-Engines have enjoyed a 40% winning average in the series and propelled Jesse to his first win a few weeks ago in Loudon New Hampshire.”

The exposure of partnering with Jesse Little has added to the notoriety of the exceptional quality NTI students put together in their engines, he added.

“Today, you can find NASCAR Tech graduates winning at every level of NASCAR racing and the K&N Series has given them a chance to develop the skills needed for successful careers in motorsports. Everyone at Universal Technical Institute and NASCAR Tech is proud to be partnered with Jesse and Team Little Racing. This week’s event at VIR is another great chance for Jesse to put the NASCAR Tech Chevy back into Victory Lane.”

Maintaining the consistency of recent weeks is the goal for the weekend with the hope of taking the NASCAR Technical Institute Chevrolet to victory lane again in 2014, Little noted.

“The horsepower in our car keeps us in contention each week. It was part of the package that got us a win in New Hampshire a few weeks ago, had us running up front at Watkins Glen and we’re going to need every bit of the that this week with VIR having some pretty long straightaways. We’ve had great runs in the past few weeks, we expect to be up front, and keep the momentum going towards the championship finale.”
