Denver Foran Joins LFR Chassis Driver Development Program

17-year-old Canadian Driver Scheduled for World Series of Asphalt and Southern Super Series in 2015

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (January 20, 2015) – The LFR Driver Development Group has announced its first driver to join the 2015 team. Denver Foran from Edmonton, Alberta will pilot the #00 MMD Mineral Sizing Chevrolet at the World Series in New Smyrna and in the 2015 Southern Super Series for LFR.

“I have learned a lot about Denver in the past few months through Jeff (Fultz) and I believe he will be a perfect fit for our program,” said Rob Fuller. “With over 200 possible drivers we reviewed, Denver was a standout in many different aspects. I believe he will excel given the support group and resources here at LFR Driver Development Group. I’m looking forward to watching his and the other drivers progression throughout this season.”

Foran will return to the track where he made history in 2012 becoming the youngest Canadian to race in the World Series of Asphalt Racing and compete in the 49th Annual World Series event in conjunction with NASCAR Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway.

He will then run a full schedule in the Southern Super Series, racing against elite Super Late Model drivers across the 14-race season at tracks such as Five Flags Speedway, Mobile International Speedway and Montgomery Motor Speedway.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Denver on his development over the past few years and he certainly has talent,” said Jeff Fultz, Late Model division coach. “Last year he won Rookie of the Year in Florida and he improved at every race we went to. I’m excited to continue this relationship with him at LFR.”

Foran started his racing career at the age of five in pro-karts. He won multiple championships as a youth racer and won the Maritime Championship at the age of 9. At the age of 14, he made the transition to race full-size stock cars. Foran competed in the New Smyrna Speedway World Series in 2012 and 2013, securing the track record in 2012.

“I am very excited to be given the opportunity to work with some of the best equipment and crew in the Super Late Model series,” said Foran. “I love to learn, and knowing that I am going to gain knowledge and experience while working with the LFR team this season is very rewarding for me as a driver.”

At the age of 15, Foran won the 2013 Dakota Dunes Casino Western Canadian Super Late Model Championship out of Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, SK.

“To work with some of the biggest names in the racing industry- Rob Fuller, Jeff Fultz, and Tony Eury Jr. – is really exciting,” continued Foran. “These men bring a lot of knowledge and experience to this industry, which will help me grow and develop as a professional driver. I feel very blessed to be working with one of the best teams in 2015.”
