Cory Casagrande Focused on LM Crown
New Ride for Part-Time Granite State Effort
Former Limited Late Model champion Cory Casagrande of Stafford Springs, CT will return to Late Model racing at Stafford (CT) Motor Speedway with hopes of another championship. Shark Cycle and the crew will continue to support both Casagrande Motorsport teams. His brother Kyle Casagrande won the SPAFCO Rookie of the Year in the team’s No. 7 car.
Despite missing a race, Casagrande finished seventh last year with 6 top fives and 12 top tens in 16 starts.
Casagrande will have a new look in the Granite State Pro Stock Series. Casagrande said his goal was to “be competitive with the Pro Stock,” Casagrande’s first race is the Icebreaker at Thompson (CT) Speedway Motorsports Park. He will race “just a few shows here and there when I can afford it” with an undisclosed team. He made two starts last season for Jeff Connors at Hudson and Monadnock, where he finished 12th.
