Southern Virginia Higher Education Center NASCAR Late Model 150
S. BOSTON, VA (April 11, 2015) — Lee Pulliam led Qualifying by taking the Pole over Matt Bowling. Pulliam would have to start ninth by sweeping the Twins at the last event. Bowling takes the lead over Brenden Queen and Quinn Hoff. Bowling would lead the first 50 Laps but Pulliam Charges to the lead. Pulliam would lead until a Lap 143 restart when Bowling goes back to the lead. A Lap 152 restart sets up a Green White Checkered finish. Bowling and William Byron take the green Bowling pulls away for the win over William Byron, Juan Garcia, and Lee Pulliam in fifth.
In the Limited Sportsman Joey Throckmorton led wire to wire to take his first win of the season. Mack Little, lll was second and Trey Crews was third.
The Pure Stocks lined up for 30 Laps. Nathan Crews would start second and lead every Lap to finish first. Greg Autry was second and Stuart Crews was third.
The Hornets took to the track for 15 Laps. Eric Winslow charged to the front and pulls away for the win. Kenny Mills was second and Kirstin Simmons was third.
In the Modified 50 Mike Rudy would take the lead from Jimmy Humblet on Lap 43 and pulls away for the win. Humblet holds on for second and Kyle Wood in third.
Pit Notes: Next on the card at South Boston is the Denny Hamlin Showdown on Thursday April 23rd.
Denny Hamlin, Jeb Burton, David Ragan, Timothy Peters, Chase Elliott will challenge local drivers for the crown. Matt Bowling is the defending champion of the event.
