New London-Waterford Speedbowl 6/13 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Results

Fans were welcomed to The New London Waterford Speedbowl by warm weather and the sun shining down on the grandstands. The tracks premier division SK Modifieds will be doing twin 30 lap features tonight. Other divisions racing tonight are the Legend cars, the Limited Sportsman, the Mini Stocks, and the SK Light Modifieds.

The first event of the evening was the SK Modifieds and they will be back for a second twin 3rd lap feature event later in the evening. The event was 30 laps and Paul Kusheba was the man on the pole with Ed Puleo on the outside pole. Kusheba was the man to take the early lead. The 1st caution came out with 7 laps remaining in the event. Ted Christopher will take the lead with 5 laps remaining in the event. Ted Christopher was the man who won the event, Keith Rocco second, and Paul Kusheba in 3rd.

The second feature of the night was the Limited Sportsman event. The feature was a 25 lap feature and Corey Coates started on the pole, outside pole went to Jack Aquilina. Coates took the early lead at the start of the event. With 20 laps remaining in the event Aquilina took the lead away from Coates and never trailed from there. Aquilina won the event, Coates in 2nd, and Ryan Waterman in 3rd. This was Aquilina’s first win since 2008.

The 3rd event of the night was the SK Light Modifieds. The feature was a 25 lap feature event and Alan Tirrell held the pole and Calvin Therrien had the outside pole. Therrien took the early lead when starting the event. Josh Galvin took the lead away from Therrien with 21 laps remaining in the event. The 1st caution came out with 18 laps remaining in the event, Galvin will take his lead back and hold that lead until the end. The second caution was thrown with 17 laps remaining in the event which turned into a red flag. The 3rd and final caution was thrown with 11 laps remaining in the event. The winner of the event was Corey Barry, Paul Buzel was in second, Rick Williams was 3rd.

The 4th feature event of the night was the INEX Legend cars. The feature was a 20 lap feature and Ryan Lutz was on the pole and Kyle Rogers was on the outside pole. With 18 laps remaining in the event Cory DiMatteo took the lead and never trailed from there. The 1 and only caution came out with 13n laps remaining in the event. The winner was Cory DiMatteo won the event, Devin O’ Connell in 2nd, and Noah Korner in 3rd.

The 5th feature event of the night was the mini stock division. The event was 25 laps with Jordan Hadley on the pole and Nate Taylor on the outside pole. Jordan Hadley took the lead on lap 1 and kept that position until he took the checkered flags. Jordan Hadley was the winner, Kenny Cassidy Jr. was in 2nd, and Lawrence Loomis Jr. was in 3rd.

The 6th and final event of the night was the second SK Modified event. This event was also a 30 lap event. Craig Lutz was the man of the pole and Paul Kusheba was on the outside pole. Lutz took the lead early, With 28 laps remaining in the event the 1st caution was thrown. The second yellow of the event came out and quickly went to a red flag situation. The 3rd caution of the event came out with 27 laps remaining in the event. The 4th caution of the event came out with 23 laps remaining in the event. The 5th caution of the lap came out with 22 laps remaining in the event. Diego Monahan took the lead with 20 laps remaining in the event. Keith Rocco took the lead with 18 laps remaining in the event. The 6th caution came out with 15 laps remaining in the event. The 7th caution of the event came out with 9 laps remaining in the event. The 8th and final caution came out with 8 laps remaining in the event. Keith Rocco was the winner, Kyle James was in 2nd, and Tyler Chadwick was in 3rd.
