Granite State Pro Stock Series at Speedway 51: A Closer Look at the Numbers
GROVETON, NH – The Granite State Pro Stock Series will travel to Speedway 51, July 4, for the Twisted Tea Firecracker 151. The Twisted Tea Firecracker 151 will be the sixth event of the 12-race season, and will be the second time the Granite State Pro Stock Series has visited the facility since 2012. The following is a closer look at the numbers of the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS), and Speedway 51.
SPEEDWAY 51 NOTES:
-Speedway 51 was built in 1964.
-Formerly known as “Riverside Speedway”. Nicknames for the track include “Grovetona”, and “Lil’ Darlington”.
-Formerly owned by Mike Beattie, who then sold the track to Curtis Robinson. In October of 2014, Joey Laquerre purchased the facility, and renamed it “Speedway 51”, in honor of his late-grandson, Joey M. Laquerre.

– Has an average feature finish of 1.8 in five races, with his worst finish being fifth.
– Finished third at Speedway 51 in 2013.
#66 Mike Parks
– Has earned four top 3s, and seventeen top 10 finishes in thirty-three career GSPSS events.
– Finished a career-best 2nd twice (Hudson 2012, Monadnock 2013).
– Has two top 3s and three top 10s in five races this year.
– Was running in the top 5 at Speedway 51 in 2013, before being involved in an incident late in the race.
#29 Barry Gray

– His two victories were at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (2013) and Hudson International Speedway (2014).
– Former Oxford 250 champion (1996)
– Finished second at Speedway 51 in 2013.
#14 Tracy Gordon
– Has twelve wins in the K&N Pro Series East, along with thirty-nine top 5s, and seventy-six top 10s.
– Driving the #14, normally driven by Matt Frahm.
– Has two second place finishes at Speedway 51, one with the Pro All Star Series, another with the American-Canadian Tour.
#27NH Wayne Helliwell, Jr.
– Has two wins on the GSPSS, one being Speedway 51 in 2013.

– 2013 Champion of the GSPSS.
– Has three wins on the tour, along with eight top 3s, and sixteen top 10s in twenty-three races.

#4ME Brad Babb
– A two-time winner on the GSPSS, Babb ran at Speedway 51 with ACT this year, but suffered electrical problems, ending his night early.
– Owns a 6.62 average feature finish in the GSPSS in twelve total races.
