Hoosier Tire ATQMRA To Rock and Roll Borgers August 8th

The Hoosier Tire ATQRMA has added four additional dates at Borger’s Speedway that will carry through to the end of the season. The races at Borger’s will be wingless and combine the TQs with the 600 micro sprints. It makes for a short track schedule unlike none the ATQMRA has presented since the late 80s when the wings went onto the cars and the Closing of Pinebrook Speedway. Teams have embraced the short track style of racing and a renaissance in TQ midget racing is about to begin with the combination of short track racing at Borger’s and the flat track at Wall. A $1,000 to win 100 lap non points race will be held at Borger’s on Saturday October 10th.

Next up for the ATQMRA will be Borger’s Speedway on Saturday August 8th. The ATQMRA will combine with Borger’s Speedway’s regular divisions as the headliner. This past Saturday’s Borger’s Speedway TQ/600 division racing action was swept by 2014 Borger’s Champion Larry Hoagland. Hoagland finished second in the ATQMRA opener at Borger’s on July 11th behind ATQMRA defending Champion Matt Janisch.

The August 8th show starts a busy month of August with a triple header of short track racing. The following Saturday August 15th the ATQMRA is back at Borger’s and the following Saturday the 22nd the ATQRMA is back on the flat track at Wall Stadium. September 12th and October 3rd see the ATQMRA at Borger’s for touring series point’s races.

October 10th will be the headline event at Borger’s Speedway when the TQ/600s will compete for a guaranteed $1,000 to win with $100 guaranteed to take the green. Caution flag laps will count for the first fifty laps then for the second half only green flag laps will count. The race will be run straight through with no scheduled fuel stop at half way. It should be an exciting event for Borger’s Speedway to showcase the competitive racing the track offers. Laps money will be available for this event with a unique format to be announced in the coming weeks that will provide additional money throughout the field instead of front loading the payout. Several Big name drivers who normally race indoors have expressed interest in competing with the outdoor regulars in the grand to win event.

Several teams have expressed interest in running additional events with the ATQMRA for the remainder of the season. Jeff Kot who is heavily involved with promoting the ATQMRA through its website and keeping the ball moving plans to return to competition for the August 8th show at Borger’s. Long time ATQMRA supporter Bill Force Jr. who is currently deployed in Bulgaria intends to be back behind the wheel and run the remainder of the Club’s shows when he returns state side. Don Zrinski 2012 Borger’s Speedway Champion has intentions of running the next several short track races with the club after running some of the fastest laps at Wall’s inner oval debut. Mark Yoder who made his season debut with his brand new HYPER Hugger TQ midget at the first show at Borger’s hopes to make the remainder of the club shows.

Since the Borger’s races are being added after the schedule was released Teams will only be allowed to claim points for four out of the five races at Borger’s providing one drop race.
